La Clé - Lodge
La Clé Lodge is a beautifully restored Cape Dutch farmhouse nestled at the heart of Franschhoek, a sanctuary of refined design and vineyard serenity. Crafted by architect Jacques Erasmus of Hemelhuijs, the property exudes charm through its high ceilings, antique accents, and interiors that harmoniously blend rustic elegance with modern luxury.
The Lodge features five individually appointed suites—two Garden Rooms, two Petite loft-style rooms, and a Courtyard Room, all offering en-suite bathrooms, premium linens, bespoke furnishings, and private terraces or patios with sweeping views of vineyards and towering mountain peaks.
Curated hospitality is at the core of the La Clé experience. Guests enjoy communal tables for shared meals, private dining, in-room massage, leisurely walks through manicured gardens, and epicurean treats prepared by expert chefs. Outdoor amenities include a pool, tennis and putting lawn, bicycles, and a helipad for seamless arrivals.
Located just a five-minute walk from Franschhoek’s charming center, La Clé offers both tranquility and accessibility, immersing guests in the village’s gourmet dining, artisanal shops, and wine culture, while offering a peaceful vineyard retreat close to home.
